Rainbow Angels Mobile

I bought a kit to make 6 angels in rainbow colors (here) a long time ago and immediately made all 6 in about 40 minutes, they are really easy to do and I think the colors are just beautiful. I wanted to make a mobile out of them to hang in the playroom but it took me a long time to finally do it. Thankfully the little wreath that I bought to make a nest out of for our nature table was not used (I found an actual nest in my stash). It was the perfect size for my angels (about 5 inches) and I like the natural material. I thought about using an inner ring from embroidery hoop but this is so much better. Usually our best ideas are accidents! I put it on the ceiling of our playroom and the mood is instantly so much happier and brighter, I just love it! Kitten really likes it too, she is trying to say "angel", points out different colors and laughs when I blow and they twirl.

  1. Oh my gosh, this is so wonderful! Do you think you could put up the picture of the room too? I am wondering how low they hang. The colors really are beautiful. It seems that you have a theme of rainbow going on for Kitten ;)) (and I love it how you just happen to have a nest in your stash :D)

  2. They are at about my face level, so that Kitten cannot reach them herself. I will post the room picture once I am finished with one other project ;) Yes, I recently fell in love with the rainbow color combination, cannot beat that one! And the nest, well, that was going to be a baby doll cradle but did not work out :D I guess there is a reason to stock up just in case!

  4. You finally did it, hurray!!! Looks amazing! I like the nest much better than the embroidery ring too. It looks like they are dancing in the forest :) Keep up the fairyland theme, I want to feel like I am in a magical castle next time I come to visit! ;)) That's one of the reasons why I love your blog - you give me that feeling of magic and wonder from childhood with your photos :)
